Led the delivery of complex initiatives such as Bundles which allow multiple subscriptions to be bundled together and sold as a single subscription.

    As Head of Engineering for Grab’s Real-Time Communication tech family (35+ engineers), led the design and build of Hedwig, an in-house notification system handling ~25K TPS and consolidating transactional and marketing communication across chat, voice, push and in-app channels—saving Grab significant annual cost while meeting stringent data privacy and regional consent requirements.

About Me
Technology leader & software engineering manager

I am a Software Engineering Manager III at Amazon in Vancouver, and previously worked as Director of Engineering at MoEngage and Senior Engineering Manager / Head of Engineering at Grab. My career began as a hands-on backend engineer at Ibibo (Goibibo), where I built payment flows, booking experiences and large-scale notification systems. Over time I moved into roles combining technical depth with organisation building and product ownership.

At MoEngage I led the campaigns and growth engineering teams, scaling systems from 1.5K RPM to 650K RPM on critical APIs and from a few million to hundreds of millions of daily notifications and events. The work spanned architecture, data processing pipelines, and AWS infrastructure while building and mentoring a 30+ engineer organisation.

Technically, I am comfortable across Go, Java and Python, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and a wide range of data stores including MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, Kafka and Hadoop. I care deeply about engineering culture, coaching, and building mechanisms that scale good decisions. I hold a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) and have completed leadership coursework at Harvard Business School Online.
